Reports to: Director & accountable to the Board of Directors and Ebenezer Baptist Church

Objective: Serve as a collaborative teaching partner in creating a caring, engaging, and Christ-centered classroom environment that supports the holistic development and well-being of infants and preschool-aged children. Co-Teachers share responsibility for planning, implementing, and evaluating a Biblically integrated curriculum while fostering a safe, nurturing, and joyful learning atmosphere.

Key ResponsibilitiesClassroom Leadership & Instruction

Share responsibility for daily classroom operations, ensuring a consistent, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment.Plan, prepare, and implement curriculum that promotes academic, social-emotional, and spiritual growth, grounded in Biblical truth.Lead devotions, prayer, and faith-based lessons that reflect the love and character of Jesus.Encourage learning through play, structured activities, and creative exploration.Promote positive discipline practices that encourage character-building and emotional security.

Collaboration & Teamwork

Work closely with your Co-Teacher to design lessons, coordinate activities, and support each other in classroom leadership.Provide guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback to maintain a strong teaching partnership.Communicate regularly with preschool leadership regarding classroom needs and updates.

Child Development & Family Communication

Monitor, assess, and document children's developmental progress.Provide individualized care and support to help each child thrive.Communicate positively and constructively with families, offering guidance and encouragement in their child's development.

Classroom Environment & Safety

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning space in accordance with hygiene, safety, and licensing standards.Understand and apply safety, supervision, and sanitation standards diligently.

Professional Growth & Engagement

Participate in team meetings, ongoing training, and school-wide events or initiatives.Remain current in early childhood best practices and Christian education through professional development.Support the mission and values of Master's Garden Preschool in all actions and interactions.
