A multicultural church in South City St. louis seeks a part-time worship leader. The ideal candidate would craft and lead contemporary weekly worship services with thoughtfulness to the diversity of the Church. He or she would have the ability to lead vocally and instrumentally and have a passion for leading the congregation in worshiping in spirit and in truth on Sunday mornings.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Crafting a contemporary Christian worship set, with songs from the history of the church to the most modern. Working with the lead pastor to shepherd the body in regular worship and encountering the Spirit in corporate worship.
• Empowering the worship band to excel in their service to the body, by planning weekly rehearsals prior to the service, sharing timely access to various media for their at-home preparation, and providing all needed printed chord charts etc.
• Empowering the greater body in Sunday morning worship, by inputting lyrics weekly into the overhead display software, an thoughtfully planning and leading times in the word and prayer during the service. Additional responsibilities include the weekly set-up and tear-down of the worship equipment.

• Attending the weekly prayer service
• Joining a weekly small group
• Attending periodic leader meetings
• Participating in the life of the body
• Occasionally the leader may be called on for special events
