Church Pianist: First Presbyterian Church of Aliceville

Job Description:

We are looking for someone, ideally a student, who is seeking an opportunity to use their gifts and talents to serve the Lord and His church. Primary responsibilities would be playing for Lord's Day Worship on Sundays at 11:00. We only do choir rehearsals seasonally a couple times a year (Christmas and Easter). That would require our pianist to stay an extra hour or so during those times, which they would be compensated for. We would love to fill this position as soon as possible. I look forward to hearing from any interested candidates and answering any questions about the position.

Position Qualifications:

Piano proficiency, sight reading skills, ability to play multiple styles and genres of music, adaptability, ability to play choral accompaniment, comfortability with playing from a chord chart/lead sheet, ability to transpose is a bonus. We are not looking for perfection. Above all, we are looking for a candidate who has a heart for worship and service.

We are a warm, multi-generational PCA church in rural West Alabama. We are thankful for the Lord's blessings upon our congregation as we continue to see new members join, conversions, baptisms, and people growing in their faith and knowledge of the Lord. Our music is a mixture of traditional hymns and Psalms, with some more contemporary hymns included from time to time.
