Job Overview
The Clinic Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of our medical clinic, providing medical care with excellence and Christ-like compassion. Applicants must hold a current Kentucky RN nursing license and be willing to be trained to provide Limited Obstetric Ultrasounds. Prior experience as a nurse in a clinical setting is required.
Job Description
Purpose of the position: As an ambassador of Jesus Christ, the Clinic Manager will help Marsha's Place cultivate a community that values every human life from conception by:

Reports to: The Medical Director and Executive Director
Supervises: Staff nurses and volunteer nurses in the medical clinic.
Status: Exempt, Full-time (32 hrs./week)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Be a committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
- Be an active member of a local church.
- Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the sanctity of human life and sexual integrity.
- Agree with and be willing to uphold the Mission & Vision, Commitment of Care and Competence, Statement of Faith, and policies of Marsha's Place.
- Must possess a current Kentucky nursing license.
- Willingness to be trained to perform Limited Obstetric Ultrasounds.
- Have two years of experience as a nurse in a clinical setting.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal and administrative skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing.
- Trained to perform Limited Obstetric Ultrasounds.
- Previous experience working in a Pregnancy Resource Center or OBGYN clinic.
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Patient Care
- Maintains professional standards of care following the ANA Code of Ethics.
- Assesses patient needs and makes nursing judgments that reflect safe nursing practices
- Performs pregnancy tests and STI tests.
- Provides Limited Obstetric Ultrasounds according to medical standards of care.
- Provides support to the other nurses and sonography techs, including chaperoning exams as needed (including skills assessment & review as needed).
- Reviews any clinical findings indicating concern for the viability of the pregnancy or the health of the mother with the Medical Director.
- Provides pregnancy counseling, education, and referrals as needed.
- Maintains accurate records, care-plans and follow-through on physician's orders.
- Provides patient follow-up and patient care-plan and standardized procedures.
- Routinely reviews patient records for completeness and updates as necessary.
- Meet with the medical director regularly for ongoing clinical supervision and guidance.
2. Client Services
- Provides life options counseling to clients. Must be comfortable discussing pregnancy and abortion with clients.
- Evaluates, selects, and maintains needed medical educational materials and resources for client use.
- Promote the center and its services to the community, including attending health fairs, setting up informational booths, and giving presentations when we have the opportunity.
3. Medical Services Operations
- Assure accurate implementation of medical director's orders.
- Audit patient records quarterly.
- Maintain staff medical records.
- Provide in-service education to staff, as needed.
- Implement clinic policies and procedures (P&P), including compliance with OSHA, CLIA, privacy practices, and infection control.
- Conduct annual review of P&P and infection control regulations in conjunction with the medical director.
- Orient new medical staff to clinic duties and responsibilities, and provide ongoing supervision to any nurses or medical assistants.
- Conduct annual evaluations of nurses, nurse assistants, medical assistants, etc.
- Coordinate medical staff schedules.
- Ensure that medical equipment is properly operated and maintained.
- Conduct regular medical supply inventory and ensure that the clinic is properly stocked.
- Ensure proper disinfection of medical equipment and the exam room.
- In conjunction with the medical director, ensure the OSHA orientation of all new personnel, provide annual refreshers, and monitor facility compliance.
4. Emergencies
- Follow guidelines for responding to emergencies and unusual ultrasound findings as specified in the P&P manual.
5. Continuing Education
- Maintain active nursing license.
- Comply with state and professional continuing education requirements.
- Maintain CPR certification.
6. Additional Responsibilities
- Attend Marsha's Place fundraisers throughout the year and assist as necessary.
