Organization: Serving Workers for the Harvest (SWH)
Location: Buda, Texas
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Position Type: Full-time; 40+ hours/week

Job Summary: The Communications Team Manager is responsible for creating the overall SWH communication strategy. They are required to lead the team in developing and coordinating both internal and external communications in support of SWH and its partner ministries. Their role encompasses maintaining SWH's brand while ensuring that all communication channels align with the organization's vision and mission. In addition to shaping messaging, the Communications Team Manager is tasked with spearheading the creation, planning, and execution of clear, impactful communication strategies. The ideal candidate must possess exceptional skills in creating and launching strategic communication and marketing campaigns along with analyzing relevant demographics and refining processes for tangible results.
Job Description
Spiritual Qualifications:
- Maintains a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ as a baptized believer
- Possesses a passion to see people come to faith in Jesus Christ in all nations with the ability and experience to effectively present the Gospel of Jesus Christ clearly and concisely
- Believes in the mission and vision of SWH
- Agreement with and willingness to live by the doctrinal convictions as set forth in the Serving Workers for the Harvest Statement of Faith
- Demonstrates integrity, humility, resilience, and a servant's heart as described in the Bible (1 Timothy 3; Proverbs 31)
Education/Experience:
- Preferred: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Communication, Marketing, or a related field preferred
- Required: Digital Editing and graphic design experience
- Required: Experience developing and implementing communications strategies
- Preferred: Relevant supervisory experience
- Preferred: Five years or more experience in a communications or marketing leadership role
- Preferred: Acquired cross-cultural experience

- High-level technological and office software skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, etc.) as well as an aptitude for learning new software
- Skill in developing and managing a robust digital presence including website, social media, and app management
- Ability to produce and edit audio, video, photographic, and graphic design projects
- Proficient in designing, developing, and producing printed materials (brochures, programs, banners, etc.)
Key Responsibilities:

Strategy:
- Develop and execute communication strategies to inform and promote SWH's vision, mission, and work
- Curate and oversee all aspects of brand management from printed materials to digital media in order to strengthen and maintain SWH's reputation as a ministry that reaches, disciples, and multiplies the body of Christ
- Develop systems to organize, prioritize, and communicate campaigns and promotional events to include written, printed, digital, and visual components
- Lead efforts to design all artistic and promotional materials related to SWH's activities with a high standard of creativity, excellence, and effectiveness
- Design, build, and manage ongoing social media messaging and communication strategies for SWH

Leadership:
- Oversee, recruit, and develop a robust team of staff adept in graphic design, artistic design, digital platform engagement, photography, videography, writing, etc. to both empower and equip the organization for the achievement of SWH''s mission and vision
- Lead and work alongside the communications team to establish consistency in all aspects of messaging
- Oversee a team of graphic designers to execute project elements

Website & Social Media Management:
- Lead all efforts related to the creation, development, and daily operations of SWH's website
- Coordinate webpage maintenance ensuring new and consistent information (article links, stories, and events) are posted regularly
- Creatively build followings on various social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook and Instagram

General Communications:
- Proactively work to ensure SWH maintains an effective presence on the web including style/presence, search engines, new technology, etc.
- Monitor the look, vibe, and feel of all promotional materials representing SWH
- Develop and oversee the use of logos and images that represent SWH to effectively communicate desired messages

Media Engagement:
- Help develop policies and procedures pertaining to media relations
- Help establish positive relationships with local and national media
- Contribute to the procurement of and response to media attention
Compensation: SWH employees, deputized to raise funds for the organization, cultivate partnerships with churches, individuals, and organizations to secure their financial support. Compensation is directly tied to an approved budget, which includes both personal and ministry expenses.
