Job Description:
We are seeking an individual gifted with creativity and organizational skills who can be trusted with a variety of responsibilities for the communications ministry of Spanish River Church, Spanish River Counseling Center, and Spanish River Church Planting. Every task accelerates the mission of Spanish River Church to share the love of Jesus in word, deed, and sign. A pre-employment drug screening is required for all candidates offered employment.
Primary responsibilities:
- Social media management
- App and website support
- Email marketing support
- Proofread all written content produced by the Communications Department
- Keep stakeholders informed with regular updates on project status
- Printing of miscellaneous communications projects and needs
- Sermon, photo, podcast, and file storage organization management
- Provide administrative support including: calendar management, facilitate travel, process expense reports, submit IT/Work tickets, inventory and subscription management, and congregation correspondence.
- Evaluate emerging technology and keep track of marketing trends to target demographics effectively
- Assist in maintaining brand consistency across all communication channels
- Write engaging, original, and clear copy
- Provide support to Communications Department volunteers
- Collect analytics to inform strategy and content development and record in weekly reports
- Improve search engine rankings, driving increased organic traffic, and elevate our online presence
- Content creation to promote the events, ministries, teaching series, campaigns, and mission of SRC
- Ad hoc duties
- Ensure all necessary resources (budget, tools, materials, information, people) are available for projects
Position Qualifications:

- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to improve search engine rankings and meet/exceed deadlines
- Self-starter who is able to anticipate needs
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Journalism, or related field
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to inform communication strategies and content development
- Creative and interested in innovation
