Position Overview: The Communications Director is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the church's communication strategy, including internal communications, external public relations, and overall messaging to ensure it aligns with the church's mission and vision. Reports Directly to: Associate Pastor of Families Prerequisites:– Affirm the Hibernia Baptist Church statements of belief and practices as codified in our organizational bylaws and detailed in the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.– Ability to meet the requirements for membership at Hibernia Baptist Church.– Active and growing relationship with Jesus Christ with a call to the ministry.– Maintain a high standard of excellence and moral character.– Professional and positive demeanor.– Excellent attendance habits.– Strong written and verbal communication skills.– Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow.– Record of consistent, high-level performance.– Excellent organizational skills.– Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).– Proficient in WordPress– Proficient in MS Office Suite. General Responsibilities:– Assist pastoral leadership in developing and implementing a comprehensive communication strategy to promote church events, activities, and messages both internally and externally.– Oversee the creation and distribution of all church communications, including newsletters, bulletins, and promotional materials.– Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all communication platforms.– Collaborate with ministry leaders and volunteers to develop communication plans that support their objectives and activities.– Manage and update the church website to ensure accurate and timely information.– Coordinate with pastors, graphic designers, and other creative professionals to produce high-quality communication materials.– Plan and manage communication projects, including special events and campaigns.
