Connections Director

OVERVIEW Purpose and Primary Responsibilities: The Connections Director is responsible for leading and coordinating the church's assimilation, adult discipleship, leadership development, and engagement strategies to ensure every guest and member is welcomed, connected to a Life Group, equipped to serve, and growing in spiritual maturity. RESPONSIBILITIES Assimilation · Design, manage, and implement a comprehensive assimilation process that includes: welcoming and following up with first-time guests; guiding them toward participation in Discover Belle Aire and the Membership Class; and tracking new members for at least one year with the goal of 100% of new members being connected to a Life Group and actively serving in a ministry before the end of their first year of membership. · Lead the church's pathway for membership initiatives (Discover Belle Aire and Membership Class). · Help new people connect with the Life Groups ministry. · Oversee guest services teams. · Champion a culture of hospitality, connection, and member care. · Regularly report key metrics related to guest retention, new member engagement, Life Group connection, and serving participation. Discipleship · Provide oversight, vision, and leadership for all adult discipleship ministries, including Sunday morning Life Groups, discipleship groups, mid-week studies, gender-specific groups (e.g., men's and women's studies), and other small group environments. · Provide training, equipping, and support for the leaders of adult discipleship ministries. · Collaborate with age-graded ministry leaders (preschool, children, and students) to support Life Group curriculum selection and alignment as needed. · Ensure that all teaching is biblically sound and aligns with our doctrinal statement. · Clarify wins and gauge the effectiveness of our discipleship pathway. Leadership Development · Recruit, train, and shepherd lay leaders for adult discipleship and connection ministries. · Encourage and equip church members to discover their spiritual gifts and use them in service. · Develop simple systems to help people get engaged in serving and growing. · Create a serving initiative to connect, engage, place, and equip attendees and members to serve in various ministry areas. · Coordinate, develop, and facilitate training for volunteers and leaders in areas of ministry. Events & Engagement · Plan and promote various events, retreats, seminars, and gatherings that foster community and spiritual growth for our adults. REQUIREMENTS • Possesses strong character, wisdom, and discernment • Demonstrates a vital and growing relationship with Jesus Christ • Fully supportive of the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 • A people person • Comfortable utilizing various forms of technology for ministry effectiveness • Bachelor's degree DETAILS • Full-time, salaried • Reports to: Senior Pastor
