Note: There are other aspects of thisjob that may or may not be within a person's calling. This will be discussed and determined duringinterviews.Qualifications:– Tenured experience leading a contemporary worship service.– Strong leadership skills to recruit, practice and perform a contemporary band of volunteers– Desire to recruit and develop students to lead in the student ministry band– Broad knowledge of contemporary music, instruments and music arranging.– Strong and yet authentic ability to communicate through music– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.– Leadership abilitiesPreferred Skills:– Ability to give vocal and instrumental direction– Ability to organize, implement and lead rehearsals for musicians and vocalist– Range of knowledge of arranging music– Range of knowledge of instruments and how to incorporate them into worshipKey responsibilities and accountabilities:1) Produce worship services for the contemporary morning worship service, student ministryworship services, and special services as assigned.2) Serve as primary worship leader in the contemporary worship service and student ministryworship3) Direct all weekly activities and rehearsals necessary to facilitate worship in services4) Care for instruments and equipment associated with contemporary worship ministry5) Function as a team player and leader within the music ministry as a whole6) Work in cooperation with all media staff for tech needs during worship services7) Attend worship planning meetings, retreats, and production meetings as assigned8) Plan and enlist substitute worship leaders in your absence.9) Represent Christ at all times, be an active tither, and committed member of FBCT10) Perform other duties as assigned.Benefits: some of these are dependent on full time or part time status– Primary & secondary healthcare– 403(b) Retirement– Vacation Time– Sick Time– Salaried
