Job Overview: Worship Ministry

The Worship Minister oversees all of the worship ministries of Broadview Baptist Church. He will serve as the primary worship leader for two contemporary services at 9:30 and 11:00, as well as oversee the traditional worship service at 8:15. This person will serve as the direct report for the Traditional Service Worship Leader, Media Director, and Worship Ministry volunteer teams.

This is a full-time position. Medical insurance and retirement contributions are a part of the salary package. Broadview is a mid-sized church in Abilene, TX.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Corporate worship: Lead a worship ministry that helps the church reach her mission and vision of being a Great Commission, Great Commandment Acts 1:8 church. This is done through choosing theologically rich songs and leading worship in a Spirit-empowered way. It also includes the corporate reading of Scripture, and public prayer.

Hospitality Team: Oversee and empower volunteers to run our hospitality team on Sunday mornings to ensure that people entering and exiting our Sunday morning worship times are warmly greeted and have their questions answered.

Technology: Administrate and grow in knowledge of the technologies used at Broadview to make Sunday worship and special services as seamless as possible. A current list of technologies used can be seen under competencies below.

Recruit, Train, & Disciple: Plan to regularly hold auditions to grow and sustain the worship ministry over time. Disciple members of the band/media team as is fitting. Actively participate in the disciple-making ministries of the church.

Stewardship: Manage the ministry budget with recommendations for the following year.

Other duties as assigned by the senior pastor: This includes leading worship for staff meetings, occasional weddings, funerals, and special services.

Competencies

• Worship Leading: Must be able to lead worship from a guitar or piano, have previous use of in-ear monitors, be familiar with the use of multitracks, be able to publicly read Scripture well, and pray out-loud in a theologically consistent way.
• Live-streaming: ECamm software, Black Magic ATEM Mini & software, Dante Audio Routing, Subsplash (Media hosting platform), and Protools
• Audio Production: Multitracks, IEMs, Behringer x32, Mainstage 3, General Sound Mixing, Sound Routing, Dante virtual sound card, Setting instrument specific EQ, Mackie ProFX12v3, and Roland SPD-SX

• Graphic Creation: Conversant with Photoshop and/or similar software as well as the basics around digital design.
• Audio/Production: Propresenter 7, Lighting software, iMovie/Final Cut

Education & Experience:

• 3 years experience in a ministry context.
• Bachelor's ideal but not required. Mdiv is a plus.
