Job Summary:
Part-time Youth Worker with a focus on female ministry that supports the spiritual growth of young women (Grades 6th through 12th) at our church. This role is designed for an individual who can engage with and mentor female youth, fostering their spiritual development and addressing their unique needs as well as help bridge connections between youth families and the church body.
Key Responsibilities:
Youth Female Focus:
- Implement initiatives for the spiritual development of young women.
- Engage in discipleship with female youth, guiding their spiritual journey.
- Teaching/Assist in leading Youth Meetings/Sunday School Meetings
Mentoring and Support:
- Provide support to young girls, focusing on their spiritual, emotional, and relational needs.
- Create a nurturing environment for personal and spiritual growth.
Administrative/Planning
- Collaborate with the Assistant Pastor for planning and executing youth ministry.
- Work with church staff and volunteers, ensuring a unified approach to female youth ministry.
- Recruit laity to help in youth-related areas. (e.g. Announcements, personal invitation...)
- Assist in communicating the vision and activities of the female youth ministry.
- Help in planning and managing resources for female youth ministry.
Community Engagement:
- Build relationships with young women in the church, understanding and addressing their needs.
- Participate in church events and activities involving female youth.
- Engage with families of youth members.
Qualifications:
- Experience in ministry, preferably with a focus on youth.
- Knowledge of biblical principles and a commitment to church doctrines.
- Demonstrated ability in teaching or mentoring youth.
- Experience in working with volunteers and team building.
- The applicant should be female.

- Set aside regular time for personal growth.
- Relational skills to connect with youth, empathetic and approachable.

Time Commitment
- Approximately 20-25 work hours per week.
- Involvement on Sunday Mornings, Sunday Evenings and Wednesday Night Meetings
- Approximately 2-3 "one on one" meetings per week with female youth members
- Attend Weekly Staff meeting
- Attend Monthly Youth Ministry meetings
- Teach/Assist with Teaching of Youth Sunday School Class
- Attend 1-2 Weekend Retreats per year
- Attend 1 Week long Youth Conference per year
Measurables:
- "Significant Contact" with family members of each female youth member once per semester
- Host 2-3 "one on one" meetups with female youth members per week
Compensation:
- $17-22/hr based on experience
- No PTO
