POSITION SUMMARY
The Curriculum Director oversees and coordinates all aspects of curriculum development, translation, and publishing at BEE World. This full-time leadership role is integral to supporting the organization's vision of multiplying servant leaders globally by ensuring the development of high-quality biblical education materials that are culturally relevant and theologically sound.
The Curriculum Director leads a cross-functional team of course writers, editors, translators, and publishing personnel, managing both the creative and administrative processes necessary to support BEE World's international training initiatives. This role reports to the Director of Academic Services.
Remote work is supported for candidates outside Colorado Springs. Local candidates are expected to work in a hybrid capacity, participating in regular in-person meetings and collaboration at our headquarters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and coordinate BEE World curriculum development and translation.
- Direct the activities of the course writers, general editors, graphic artists, course publishers, translators, and translation editors.
- Supervise the work of the course development team – to ensure courses are written and published to the educational and structural standards of BEE World.
- Supervise the work of the translation team – to ensure courses are translated and formatted to each country's requirement and to the standards of BEE World.
- Review all completed translated courses before approving for publication.
- Ensure that administrative tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner, such as payments to translators and translation editors, contracts for all independent contractors, budgeting, grant funding, backups, and accurate and timely update of forecasting system.
- Establish curriculum development and translation goals and priorities through a comprehensive plan and schedule to accomplish the ministry goals and commitments.
- Ensure that course writers, general editors, graphic artists, course publishers, translators and translation editors are trained.
- Identify a set of priorities for course development and translation.
- Work with the HR Department to help establish recruitment requirements for the employees needed to meet the curriculum development goals and commitments.
- Work with curriculum development and translation staff for continual improvement of the ministry publishing processes to ensure the effective and timely production of course materials.
- Help develop the ministry's policies and procedures for curriculum development.
- Review and approve final course production and translation output to ensure that standards for high quality have been met.
- Participate in BEE World conferences, facilitator training, team meetings, and all director meetings either via Teams or in person.
- Build and maintain a support team for personal and ministry related financial needs, prayer, and encouragement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
- Biblical training through a local church, college, seminary, or equivalent, along with a practicing knowledge of the Scriptures.
- Minimum of five years of experience in ministry, education, curriculum development or equivalent.
- Strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and publishing workflows.
- Cross-cultural awareness and experience in international ministry settings (preferred).
- Comfortable working in a remote environment and using digital communication tools.

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE This position is supported through personal fundraising. This means that the selected candidate will raise their own salary by building a team of donors who give to support their ministry work. All donations are tax-deductible and processed through BEE World to ensure transparency and compliance.
BEE World provides training, resources, and coaching to help you build and maintain a reliable support base. Your fundraising goals and salary expectations will be discussed in detail during the interview process. This model is common in many faith-based and nonprofit organizations where staff serve as full-time ministry workers.
