About Harvesters International Ministries
Harvesters International Ministries is a 501c3 based in Hilton Head, South Carolina. We participate in the Great Commission by assisting national ministry initiatives in Africa and Asia. We work in partnership with indigenously led ministries who share the Gospel, plant churches and engage in various Christ centered humanitarian efforts such as orphan care, water projects, education, and women's empowerment initiatives. Harvesters' role includes equipping partners through fund management, training, fundraising, advising and coordinating short term missions teams.
Position Summary
The Development Director is responsible for the solicitation of donors to support the ministry. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this person will manage a portfolio of current and lapsed donors. Additionally, he or she will develop new donors, and be responsible for growing the revenue annually.

Responsibilities
- Ability to represent the ministry's mission passionately and authentically
- Ability to connect with and build trust and rapport with individuals
- Self-starting, self-directing, and able to connect in a meaningful way with donors and prospects
- Schedule and hold weekly meetings, via Zoom and in-person, with donors and prospective donors (Individuals, Companies, Foundations, and Churches)
- Develop and implement strategies for solicitation that will grow annual individual revenue, working collaboratively with others to advance fundraising goals and program goals
- Able to effectively speak before groups on behalf of Harvesters
- Skilled in both verbal and written communication
- Track, evaluate, and present briefs and progress reports on an ongoing basis and as requested.
- In addition to stewarding individual relationships, build a signature fundraising event to steward relationships and secure new funds
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree or three years of related experience in development, sales, or similar relationship and metric-based roles.
- You are aligning yourself with the vision and mission of Harvesters Ministries as well as our organizational statement of faith.
- Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening
- Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel to meetings and community functions (including air travel).
- Must be willing to travel approximately 25%
- Available for limited international travel
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
