Position SummaryChurchill Baptist Church is seeking a Part-Time Director of Children's Ministry to lead and support the spiritual formation of children from birth through 5th grade. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for Christ and children, strong leadership and organizational skills, and a heart for partnering with families to build a gospel-centered foundation. Core Responsibilities

• Spiritual Leadership & Program Oversight
• Lead and teach Sunday morning children's programs with biblical clarity and enthusiasm.
• Select and implement biblically sound, age-appropriate curriculum in collaboration with the Senior Pastor.
• Encourage and equip parents to be the primary spiritual leaders in their children's lives.

Volunteer Coordination

• Recruit, train, schedule, and support ministry volunteers for weekly programming and special events.
• Ensure all volunteers meet church safety policies, including background checks and training compliance.

Ministry Planning & Communication

• Plan and oversee seasonal and special events (e.g., VBS, family outreach, service projects).
• Maintain regular, effective communication with parents and guardians.
• Collaborate with church staff to integrate children's ministry into the broader mission and goals of the church.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, volunteer rosters, and compliance with child protection policies.
• Manage the ministry budget in coordination with the Senior Pastor.
• Participate in regular staff meetings.
• Submit an annual ministry review and plan to the Senior Pastor and Elder Board.

Qualifications

• A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Agreement with the Churchill Baptist Church Statement of Faith.
• Previous experience in children's ministry or a related field preferred.
• Educational background in Christian education, biblical studies, or child development is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to lead and support volunteers in a collaborative environment.
• Must pass a background check and complete required child safety training.

Hours & Schedule

• Approximately 20 hours per week.
• Must be available and present on Sunday mornings.
• Weekday hours are flexible and include time for preparation, meetings, and occasional events.
• Schedule to be coordinated with the Senior Pastor and Personnel Committee.

Accountability

• Reports directly to the Senior Pastor.
• Provides leadership and oversight to volunteer teams serving in children's ministry.
