About the role:

This role is responsible for managing the Caring Network (CN) brand, ensuring all communications align with brand guidelines, and overseeing key messaging. The position involves editing donor-centric content, capturing and sharing stories, and coordinating video production. Additionally, the role serves as a liaison between internal teams, tracks relevant data, provides media messaging, and oversees fundraising events. Design skills are also required for supporting internal projects. The position reports to the VP of Direct Response, and manages the Events Coordinator.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Know and keep the CN brand guide up to date.
  • Own the Caring Network brand and review/approve all communication that goes out under CN name to make sure it aligns with the brand such as CN Website, appeals, newsletters radio spots etc.
  • Own our 4-8 Key messages and talking points.
  • Edit donor centric content for emails, appeals, newsletters that go out to ministry partners.
  • Communication liaison. Serve as the Communication link between our programs and Development and Direct Response marketing. Capture stories from our clinics and convey them to our donor facing teams. Own the stories, including assigning which teams have what stories.
  • Oversee video production to capture stories that best communicate the work of Caring Network, or/and have a voice and approval in videos.
  • Keep track of the scorecard data and records and communicate these stats to our donor facing teams as requested.
  • Public Relations. Provide appropriate messaging for the media and the President when needed.
  • Abortion statistics. Keep abreast of the current abortion stats in IL and across the United States and potential changes in legislation or abortion facilities that will impact the work we do positively or negatively.
  • Oversee the Special Events Coordinator role. This person's role serves our Donor Development team, but also will involve video and messaging that needs to tie to our message guidelines and our brand standards.
  • Oversee the fundraising events, specifically Spring Fling and Night for Life to make sure they engage our ministry partners to give.
  • Help cover design needs for VP of Development and other internal design needs.

Candidate requirements:

  • A committed Christian who demonstrates a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and is a participant in a local church.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position and enthusiasm for the mission and strategy of Caring Network.
  • Agree with and be willing to uphold Caring Network's Statements of Faith and Principle and Core Values.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing Public Relations or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in overseeing brand guidelines, content creation, donor communications, public relations, and event management
  • Strong communication and editing skills
  • Solid brand management experience
  • Design experience for internal projects
  • Public relations and media messaging
  • Event management and donor engagement experience
  • This is a Part-time role, expected to work 25 hours/week. Must be able to work onsite in Glen Ellyn office, IL, we are open to some remote work.

Compensation: $52k to $58k/year
