Purpose:

The Director of Development is a key administrator who develops and maintains an annual nonprofit fundraising plan, coordinates and launches fundraising events and campaigns, builds and maintains donor relationships, manages the Marketing Team and its communications to guests and donors, and keeps the CFO and Executive Team apprised of fundraising progress, trends, and goals. This position can be fully remote if the employee elects to do so.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Work with staff, guests, and other donors to lead the fundraising program at CAMP-of-the-WOODS, including but not limited to:
  • Management of the Partnership Program for annual giving
  • Management of the 4-year Future Foundations fundraising campaign to construct a new Tee Pee / Trading Post building
  • Continued financial development of COTW fundraising efforts
• Maintain and bolster a network of donor and guest relationships while establishing new correspondences
• Organize and manage a portfolio of donors
• Coordinate and execute fundraising special events
• Create a comprehensive annual fundraising plan, monitor performance, track trends and data, and provide guidance to CFO and Executive Team regarding fundraising goals in alignment with the organizational Vision
• Oversee and spearhead the Marketing Team to create effective digital and print messaging and communication materials for COTW growth, such as:
  • Website
  • Social media presence
  • Deliverables
  • Email

Requirements & Qualifications:

• A follower of Christ in agreement with the GVI Statement of Faith
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in fundraising; preferred
• Excellence in verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in leading, managing, developing, and mentoring a team of staff
• Familiarity with fundraising software and donor databases

• Annual Salary of $75k+, commensurate with experience
• Camp Provided Housing in summer season (including all utilities)
• Camp provided meals for employee and family – 3 meals per day in Summer Season, Monday through Friday lunch in Conference Season, unless the employee elects to work remotely
