Job Description

• Supervision of paid and volunteer family ministries staff
• Oversight of children’s catechesis—i.e. Sunday school lessons, sacramental preparation, etc.
• Supervision of all programs and procedures related to children’s ministry & youth ministry
• Recruitment and training of volunteer and paid children’s & youth ministry staff
• Maintain handbook and ministry philosophy for children’s ministries
• Review and implementation of child safety and security goals (check-in,

evacuation, Ministry Safe, first-aid, CPR training, etc.)

• Design welcome procedure for new families and young children as well as re-connection with families who have been absent
• Participation in weekly staff meetings and other meetings as needed
• Assist and participate in budget development, implementation and accountability
• Supervision of Sunday programs
• Participate in annual program planning and master calendar of events for Family Ministry
• Partner with parents of children and youth, providing resources for their use as well as maintaining a positive relationship with them
• Adhere to the theological vision and beliefs of the Anglican Mission in America, including subscription to the Jerusalem Declaration
