ROLE OVERVIEW

Director of Media Communications will oversee all areas of multimedia communication (A/V, graphic design, social media, website updates, video production, photography, etc.)—supporting the church's aim to encourage and edify the church body and effectively reach the community.

Under the direction of the Lead Pastor, Director of Media Communications will...

Graphics & Content Creation

• Design graphics for sermon series, announcements, events, social media, and other church print/electronic materials.

• Create and send email newsletters.

Digital Presence

• Maintain and update the church website.

• Manage social media content and engagement.

Technology Management

• Oversee A/V systems, Planning Center, ProPresenter, WordPress, Divi, Canva, YouTube, and other digital tools.

• Train others in various technologies/software.

Photography & Video Production

• Take & edit photos of various church activities

• Film and edit videos (baptisms, ministry updates, event highlights, etc).

Other

• Assist the Lead Pastor with additional responsibilities as needed.

• Report directly to the Lead Pastor while maintaining accountability to the Board of Elders.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Bachelor's degree required (in related field preferred)

Experience

• A minimum of 2-years of paid experience in related field
• Proficiency in graphic design and video editing software
• Familiarity with ProPresenter, WordPress website platform & Divi interface, Planning Center, and Mac OS preferred

Other

• Live locally and have a good understanding of southern California culture

PAY & BENEFITS

• $28-30/hour ($30,000–$40,000 annually), commensurate with education, experience, and qualifications
• Flexible schedule
• Partial remote work
