Bigtime Chelsea Director of Ministry (6th – 12th Grade Students) Full Time
TEACHING/PLANNING/LEADING A. In a loving, personal relationship with Jesus and a call to serve Him in full time ministry. B. Commitment to a local church through membership, attendance, service, and giving. C. Available two mornings each week from 7:00 am-7:45 am to support and teach middle school Bible Study groups. These groups of 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students from Chelsea Middle School meet mid-August to mid-May. D. Develop, train, and evaluate high school D-group leaders. E. Oversee the network of high school D-groups meeting weekly across the Chelsea community. F. Attend guys' high school D-groups weekly; 1 per week (9th-12th grade). G. Believe in and teach according to the gospel-centered mission and values of Bigtime. H. Communicate with parents, students, and Bigtime staff and volunteers in a timely, efficient, and appropriate manner.
RELATIONSHIPS WITH STUDENTS AND FAMILIES A. Plan intentional time with students after school/evenings. B. Attend sporting/extracurricular activities of students frequently C. Plan occasional fun outings with groups of guys outside of Bigtime for ice cream, lunch, etc. D. Cultivate partnerships with local youth ministers.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES A. Steward the finances of Bigtime Chelsea in a way that honors God and is consistent with Bigtime's mission and values. B. Assist Bigtime's Director of Administration to maintain bookkeeping records and receipts for operations. C. Manage Bigtime Chelsea's Venmo and Regions accounts reporting earnings and expenses to Bigtime's Director of Administration. D. Be open and transparent with the Bigtime Chelsea Board, as well as the Bigtime Executive Board, in regards to financial operations and all ministry matters for Bigtime Chelsea. E. Work with the Bigtime Chelsea Board to raise and manage the financial resources of the ministry budget. F. Partner with friends of Bigtime Chelsea including parents, churches, businesses, etc. to raise money towards the goal of fulfilling the mission of Bigtime Ministries. G. Assisted by the Chelsea Board and Executive Director of Bigtime, draft and manage an annual budget for the Bigtime Chelsea.
STAFF ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES A. Spiritually and professionally accountable to the Executive Director of Bigtime. B. Attend and help lead quarterly board meetings of Bigtime Chelsea. C. Engage in professional and ministerial development.
EVENT PLANNING A. Plan and execute student retreats. At least two retreats for guys and girls per calendar year B. Plan and lead summer activities (ministry training, missions). C. Assist staff with other events throughout the year.
