Director of Music and Worship

Full Time (We would consider the right part time applicant)

Reports to: The Senior Pastor

Job Overview: To promote leadership in developing and implementing the Music Ministry of Freedom Church and to actively engage the congregation in worship through music.

Responsibilities and Duties:

-Plan Meaningful and Engaging Worship Services

-Arrange Music and Charts for the Band & Worship Team

-Run Effective Rehearsals and Sound Checks

-Play Multiple Instruments & Sing

-Schedule Musicians & Vocalists, Sound Techs & Production Crew

-Create a Culture of Like-Minded & Christ-Centered Team Members

-Plan Weekly Worship Team Devotionals

-Develop, Build, & Recruit New Team Members

-Provide Ongoing Training for Worship Volunteers & Leaders

-Attend Staff Meetings & Coordinate Sermon Themes & Services to Align with Music

-Provide Musical Accompaniment for Services, Weddings & Funerals

-Assume Such Other Duties as May be Assigned by the Pastor

Qualifications:

-Proficient with Planning Center, Pro Presenter, & Multi-tracks

-Guitar or Piano, Vocals, Harmonies, and teaching/leading players and singers.

-A degree in music with a heart for Pastoral Worship would be an advantage.
