Job Description

ROLE

Local Partnerships

  • Increase church engagement and activity with existing partnerships
  • Establishing new national gospel partnerships (partnerships will primarily be local with some reaching to other provinces and territories e.g Quebec, Northern Ontario)
  • Main contact for non-GCC local church partnership (Oakville, Burlington and Hamilton)

 

The Market and Boxes of Hope

  • Leading the staff and volunteer teams that serve with The Market and the Boxes of Hope initiative
  • Building teams of volunteers and casting a clear vision

 

Church Communication and Mobilization

  • Developing regular strategic service opportunities for the people of Hope to serve the local community (possibly extending to neighbouring provinces)
  • Ensuring clear pathways for the people of Hope (individuals, families, groups, etc) to connect directly with partners to serve
  • Overseeing and managing events for the community
  • Managing and updating the Missions/Outreach page on the Hope website with current opportunities, events and information related to Compassion and Outreach

 

Equipping Others

  • Developing leadership teams of volunteers to oversee various initiatives (eg evangelism teams)
  • Raising up key volunteer leaders to take hold of important partnerships and events
  • Collaborating with the pastoral team to see compassion initiatives running through all ministries of the church (eg. Groups curriculum and Group-based activities)
  • From time to time establish and teach classes in partnership with the Hope Institute
  • Profiling “Family Go Time” initiatives
  • Calling people to pray for missions and compassion efforts

 

Benevolent Care

  • Establishing a Mercy Ministry to care for the practical needs of the people of Hope and beyond
  • Managing the “Care Portal” in service to the practical needs in the community
