First Baptist Church, Benton, KY, is prayerfully seeking a full-time director of student ministries. Duties and responsibilities include leading, coordinating and promoting a comprehensive ministry to middle school and high school students and their families. This person will work closely with other staff members and will enlist and equip adult volunteers to assist in ministry. Primary Responsibilities Include:· Provide direction and leadership for ministry to students by coordinating and promoting Sunday School, discipleship, mission, outreach, and other activities.· Develop relationships with students, their parents/guardians, the church family and student prospects. Actively support students in extracurricular activities and in church functions.· Enlist and train adult volunteer leaders to assist in the student ministry.· Extend the ministry to students beyond the walls of the church by seeking opportunities to volunteer in the schools and community.· Prepare and administer the budget for the student ministry.· Implement, and maintain student ministry communication such as social media, website, etc.· Organize and coordinate a balanced approach to student ministry that includes Bible study, recreation, fellowship, retreats, camps, etc.The candidate must possess a growing relationship with Christ and an unshakable affection for student ministry. The minimum educational requirement is a bachelor's degree along with experience leading students.
