Director of Student Ministries

The Director of Student Ministries will help young people establish meaningful relationships with Jesus Christ and to support parents as their children grow. The Director will lead, engage, and coordinate a large group of volunteers, and develop and oversee the ministry's programs.

Responsibilities:

• Oversight of student programming on Sunday morning and evening as well as Wednesday night.
• Provide biblical teaching, mentorship, and spiritual guidance, helping students grow in their faith and relationship with Christ.
• Engage and equip volunteers to assist in various aspects of student ministry.
• Planning and coordinating social, spiritual, and community service activities. Examples include, vacation bible school, church camp, lock-ins, trunk or treat and other similar events.
• Train and equip students for appropriate servant ministry and/or leadership roles within the congregation.
• Maintain communication channels including social media, email, and bulletin to generate interest and keep people aware of upcoming youth activities.

Qualifications:

• 2 years' experience in student ministry preferred
• Relationship and leadership skills for working with students and their parents
• Knowledge of technology and social media platforms
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing
