Who is the ideal candidate for a Director of Student Ministry?

The ideal candidate is a mature Christian seeking a part-time role with a gift and heart for student discipleship. This role could also be a fit for somebody currently training for ministry/considering ministry. In addition to joining the staff, the Director of Student Ministry will become a member of the church and join the life of the church.

Carlisle Congregational is a Biblical, Gospel-centered New England church in a season of renewal. God has brought 8-12 students who actively participate in our youth group, and our church desires to further disciple these students. Carlisle is actively reaching out to our town and area with the love of Christ.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Lead our weekly youth group gathering for grades 6-12.
• Teach the Bible to students in an accessible and impactful way.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and volunteers.
• Mobilize and organize volunteers for effective ministry.
• Take students on one weekend-long retreat during the winter(Deep Freeze/Camp Berea or similar)
• There is potential for growth and additional responsibilities to be added to this role in time.

What is the time commitment?

• 10 hours a week
