Beech Haven Church exists to cultivate the unwavering hope of Jesus in every generation. We are seeking a Director of Worship to join our team in Athens, GA—a vibrant community shaped by the presence of the University of Georgia. This role is central to leading our church to encounter God, celebrate the gospel, and respond with wholehearted devotion through biblically faithful and Spirit-led worship.

• A devoted Christ-follower with outstanding character who reflects the gospel in life and relationships.

• A skilled musician and worship leader, proficient vocally and instrumentally, who values relational discipleship.

• Strong communicator with the ability to cast vision, coordinate ministry, and inspire others.

• Knowledgeable in a wide range of worship styles, with a strong leaning toward modern expressions rooted in gospel centrality.

• Creative, organized, and collaborative—able to work within a gospel-centered, fun, and hardworking staff culture.

• Experienced with Planning Center, music notation tools, and multimedia presentation software.

Job Description

What You'll Do

• Lead the congregation in weekly worship gatherings that are gospel-centered, musically excellent, and Spirit-led.

• Plan worship services in partnership with the Lead Pastor and staff, ensuring theological and thematic unity.

• Recruit, disciple, and equip worship volunteers (band, vocalists, choir, and tech teams).

• Oversee creative elements of worship, including music, visuals, communion, readings, and stage design.

• Shepherd and encourage the worship ministry team through prayer, discipleship, and relational care.

• Manage scheduling, rehearsals, and resources using Planning Center and other tools.
