Job Overview

Bethany CRC is seeking a part-time (15-20 hours/week) Director of Worship. We're looking for a musical, loving disciple of Jesus who will be the primary point-person, leader, planner, and coordinator for our Sunday Morning worship gatherings. We need creative, artistic ways to both express and experience the full breadth of the gospel story. This role is crucial in creating a space that engages our hearts and minds, allows us to rejoice and lament, weep and hope, and in the end, encounter the risen Jesus as our Savior, Lord, and friend.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree and have prior experience planning and leading worship in a church setting. They should demonstrate strong musical ability, proven leadership and team-building skills, and a deep love for ancient/future worship. Excellent communication skills, a sincere commitment to Christ and the authority of Scripture, and an appreciation for the Reformed perspective of the Christian faith are essential. Additionally, the candidate should be willing to make Bethany CRC their home church.

Job Description

• Plan and lead thoughtful & engaging worship services • Be the primary point person for Sunday morning worship planning • Create a weekly worship slideshow in ProPresenter • Build, equip, encourage, and schedule a team of volunteers • Ensure consistency and quality of AV (in-house and for live-stream) • Familiarity with Planning Center, ProPresenter, and Google Suite is a plus • Occasionally plan and lead non-Sunday services (e.g., Good Friday, Christmas Eve) • Additional tasks and duties as assigned

15-20 hours/week $1900-2200/ month Reports to the pastor
