LifePoint Christian Church is a Christ-centered, Bible-teaching community in Longwood, Florida. We are passionate about helping people worship God in spirit and truth, and then live out their faith with conviction and compassion. Our Sunday gatherings are a blend of passionate worship, expositional preaching, and authentic community. We believe worship is not performance—it's participation. Our music ministry exists to point people to Jesus, not to impress them.

Position Summary

We're seeking a Worship Leader who is spiritually mature, musically skilled, and relationally grounded to lead our church in Christ-exalting worship. This person will shepherd our worship team, plan and lead weekly Sunday services, and help cultivate a culture of worship.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Lead worship for Sunday services with humility, excellence, and theological clarity

• Plan setlists that support the sermon series and highlight congregational singing

• Develop and disciple the worship team, investing in their spiritual and musical growth

• Coordinate and lead rehearsals (currently Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings)

• Work with the tech team (audio/visual/ProPresenter) to ensure smooth services

• Collaborate with the pastoral staff on creative service elements, transitions, and special events (Easter, Christmas, etc.)

• Shepherd team members spiritually through prayer, encouragement, and accountability

Qualifications

• Musical proficiency (vocal and either guitar or piano preferred)

• Experience leading worship in a local church setting

• Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills

• Ability to lead with confidence while creating space for others to grow

• Teachable spirit and collaborative mindset

Preferred (but not required)

• Knowledge of Planning Center, ProPresenter, and multitrack worship tools

• Experience in team-building and mentoring musicians or vocalists

• Ability to write or arrange music is a plus
