Director of Youth Christian Education – First Presbyterian Church of Shelbyville

Responsibilities: The Director of Youth Christian Education Christian is responsible for working with the Christian Education Team and Pastor to organize and resource First Presbyterian Church of Shelbyville's youth education program, as well as train congregation members to educate and lead the youth.

Responsibilities:

1. Worship:

Plan and coordinate youth worship with guidance from the Pastor Responsible for Children's Church

2. Youth Christian Education:

Develop a curriculum with the assistance of the Faith Development Organize and supervise the Vacation Bible School

Conduct Youth Sunday School

3. Fellowship:

Organize and lead events and outings with the Faith Development

4.Develop Youth Christian Education budget

5.Prepare and submit material for a weekly and monthly E newsletter.

Qualifications:

The DCE must have a passion for Youth Christian Education and possess the characteristics and qualities to collaborate effectively with congregational members, pastor, and church staff.
