Job Overview

The Director of Youth Ministries is responsible for developing, expanding and nurturing all aspects of the youth ministry at Freedom Baptist Church (FBC). This role involves engaging youth in Christian instruction, fostering a sense of belonging, and providing opportunities for spiritual growth. In collaboration with the Youth Committee, the Director of Youth Ministries will ensure the ministry's effectiveness and alignment with FBC's vision and values

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Expansion of Ministry and Program Development:
  • Strategically plan and execute initiatives to grow, nurture and expand the youth program.
  • Create youth group focused on adolescent and teenager population.
  • Build relationships with the youth to foster a sense of belonging.
  • Provide instruction and witness to youth in accordance with the Holy Bible.
  • Offer resources and guidance to deepen the youth's understanding of prayer, reflection, and relationships with God.
  • Interface within the community positively while promoting FBC and youth involvement.
• Engagement and Involvement:
  • Church membership is required with participation in all services.
  • Provide instruction by teaching youth within various services and coordinate schedules for other teachers within Sunday morning Children's Church, Sunday night and Wednesday night services.

o Acts as a point of contact for parents and children. Able to mentor, coach, dialogue, and counsel children/youth as needed.

• • Actively involved in youth activities.
  • Facilitate Youth Committee meetings.
  • Participate in the Church Leadership meetings.
  • Provide opportunities for youth to deepen their relationship with God and explore their beliefs through meaningful discussions.
• Spiritual Guidance:
  • Prioritize prayer within the youth groups.
  • Individually seek guidance from Jesus Christ
• Evaluation and Improvement:
  • Conduct quarterly assessments with the Youth Committee to evaluate the effectiveness of the youth program and make necessary improvements.
  • Provide monthly updates to the Senior Pastor regarding youth ministries.
