CANDIDATE PROFILE

Salary Range: $95,000-$120,00 + health insurance

  • 5-10 years of ministry experience is preferred
  • Seminary education required
  • Ability/gifting to lead leaders & create healthy discipleship pathways
  • Cordial and professional conduct and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of experience in managing multiple forms of contact by way of text, email, etc
  • Theological alignment with our Statement of Basic Beliefs and Statement of Ethics
  • Philosophical alignment with our Vision, Mission, and Core Values
  • A team player who exhibits: humility of character, a hunger to take initiative/work hard, and the "people skills" to care for people well
  • A man demonstrating the biblical characteristics of an elder/pastor (1 Timothy 3, Titus 1)

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Ability to teach and preach
  • Able to counsel and shepherd others
  • Able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and managerial competencies
  • Spiritually mature, teachable, trustworthy, humble to follow and able to lead
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in work environment, work assignments, and/or changes in priorities
  • Ability to work independently, organizing, prioritizing and following through with details

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pastoral Responsibilities

    • Teaching/preaching opportunities as determined by co-lead pastors
    • Lead and teach a weekly small group in spiritual growth and service in the DMV
    • Model godliness, service, and personal evangelism
    • Regularly participate in worship service responsibilities
    • Oversee our LINK men's discipleship groups and men's accountability groups
    • Pursue and develop discipleship relationships with men in the church
    • Participate in teaching opportunities such as: Learn Seminar classes and EQUIP classes
    • Oversee the organization, curriculum development, and teaching of our EQUIP classes
    • Oversee the organization and development of new LEARN seminars
    • Oversee the planning and development of new family ministry initiatives
    • Help assimilate new people into the life of the church
    • Offer pastoral counsel & care to church members on a weekly basis
    • Participate in monthly pastor/elder meetings
    • Participate in regular shepherding meetings with other pastors
    • Assist in developing and training new small group leaders and new discipleship pathways for the church
    • Continued learning, writing, and reading as determined by co-lead pastors
    • Keep regular office hours and participate in staff meetings & initiatives
