Storehouse Community Church is a young congregation with an old soul. We embrace the reformed tradition in our confession & theology and are contemporary in our practice. Our mission at Storehouse McAllen is to make disciples who know and live like Jesus in McAllen and beyond the Rio Grande Valley.

We are looking for a man with a confident and confirmed calling to ministry to serve our church as the Discipleship & Communications Director. This individual will help to shape the culture of discipleship at Storehouse McAllen through development and implementation in community groups, student ministry, and communications. He would become a member of Storehouse McAllen, affirm our belief statement, mission, values, and philosophy of ministry.

Job Description

COMMUNITY GROUPS

• Disciple and develop community group coaches through monthly cohorts.
• Implement discipleship structures alongside Sunday teams through assimilation process. 
• Equip leadership through discipleship content and  annual training rhythms. 
• Provide care and counseling as needed. 

STUDENT MINISTRY 

• Develop students (6th – 12th grade) through teaching and relational discipleship. This includes the teaching of God’s word to students, engaging their hearts, and impacting their lives.
• Identify, recruit, and equip leadership for student ministry in making disciples. 
• Develop and implement discipleship structures for student ministry.
• Provide oversight to student ministry through communication with parents and policy implementation ensuring a safe, secure, and loving environment for students and volunteers.

COMMUNICATIONS & ADMINISTRATION

• Manage our channels of communication. This includes video announcements & updates, social media, print communication, and media team. The goal is to keep the church well informed and to communicate clearly and creatively.
• Manage weekly operations. This includes working alongside deacons in financial administration, office maintenance, and a liaison with Moffitt Realty. 

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Teaching as needed (i.e. Membership & Baptism classes, etc.).
