Job Overview

The Discipleship Pastor will lead, organize and train disciple makers in a disciple-making process. The Discipleship Pastor will also oversee all discipleship and community group ministries in the church.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-time ministry experience
• Experience building ministry systems and training leaders
• A love for working in teams and seeing teams thrive more than individual success
• An excellent systems builder for disciple-making processes

• Enthusiasm and energy that comes from an excitement to see disciples made
• An open heart to become close teammates with staff and church members
• Spirit led and prayerful in approach to ministry
• Tendency to engage problems creatively and solve problems with perseverance
• An excitement for learning and growth in staff meetings
• A passionate trainer and coach of leaders
• A drive to work hard derived from conviction from the Lord
• A shepherd's heart to aid discipleship across various demographics while being mindful of specific needs for each life stage

• Seminary degree required
• Ordination preferred

Responsibilities

1. Discipleship
2. 1. Build a clear discipleship pathway for all member of Mosaic
   2. Refine our disciple-making process broadly
   3. Train and equip disciple makers to make disciples who make disciples
   4. Coach disciplers in regular meetings and individual coaching sessions
   5. Communicate the call to disciple making to the wider church and galvanize members to participate in the disciple-making process

2. Community Group (CG) Ministry

1. 1. Shepherd, lead and guide community group leaders
   2. Oversee our system of recruiting and onboarding new small group leaders
   3. Lead regular training and coaching meetings with CG leaders
   4. Supervise and mentor Team Leaders who provide support for CG leaders

3. Men's, Women's and Young Adult Ministries

1. 1. Advise leaders of demographic specific discipleship ministries
   2. Develop our men's discipleship ministry (Men's Reformation) to cultivate the men of Mosaic to follow Jesus in their everyday lives
   3. Develop our women's ministry leaders to cultivate a women's ministry rooted in Scripture, relational connection and spiritual multiplication
   4. Raise up leaders for men's and women's ministry and coach them towards mentorship of other men and women
   5. Provide pastoral oversight for young adult ministry and equip young adult core team leaders to minister to peers
   6. Align Young Adult, Men's and Women's ministry with Mosaic's vision to reach, embrace, disciple

4. Pastoral Counseling and Spiritual Guidance (Leaders)

1. 1. Provide spiritual guidance for congregation members
   2. Lead and model a culture of care marked by presence, compassion and scriptural guidance

5. Leadership & Team Collaboration

1. 1. Organize Sunday Worship with Mosaic staff
   2. Contribute to the coordination of church events
   3. Contribute to the general logistical needs of the church
