As an Early Childhood Teacher at Bethel Preschool & Daycare, one will play a vital role in fostering the growth and development of young children. Located in a supportive and enriching environment, this position is essential to our mission of delivering high-quality education and care to our students.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to explore and learn.
• Create and implement engaging lesson plans that align with PA early learning standards.
• Monitor and assess children's progress in various developmental areas.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and daily activities.
• Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social skills and emotional growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and classroom management.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom that promotes learning and discovery.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or related field preferred.
• Minimum requirements -High school diploma or GED with 2 years-2500 hours of experience volunteer/working with children.
• Experience working in daycare or preschool settings is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
• Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff.
• Knowledge of PA early learning standards is a plus.
• First Aid/CPR certification is preferred but can be obtained after hiring.
• Passion for nurturing young children and supporting their educational journey.

Physical Requirements

• Being able to pass a staff health assessment by your physician with a TB test indicating a negative result.
• Able to sit, bend, and kneel with the children at their level.
• Able to lift 30 lbs. easily.
• Easily able to get around a classroom to assess and assist the children in one's care.
