Job Description

Role: Lead the Elementary Ministry at Parkway Fellowship

Qualifications for the pastoral position must include but are not limited to:

1) Mature Christ-follower

2) Working knowledge of God's Word

3) Extravagant financial giver

4) Understanding of the books:

a. Purpose Driven Church by Rick Warren

b. Think Orange by Reggie Joiner

c. Making Your Children's Ministry the Best Hour of Every Kid's Week by Sue Miller

5) Exercises the characteristic of humility

6) Fulfills the Biblical requirements in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 & Titus 1:5-9

7) Proficiency with web-based software

8) Strong commitment to the vision and mission as a member of Parkway Fellowship

9) Must have a "whatever it takes" attitude

10) Must have 2+ years' Kids Ministry experience in a church setting with both large and small groups

Responsibilities of the pastoral position include but are not limited to:

· Recruit, train, and empower volunteer ministry teams for all Sunday services in Elementary

· Maintain a clear and concise system in training volunteers

· Develop, recruit, train, and lead a coaching structure for weekend services for all Elementary Kids programming

· Create and maintain an evaluation system for evaluating the health of the entire Elementary Kids Ministry

· Maintain the vision of partnering with parents through the implementation of all major milestones

· Purchase and prep all needed supplies for weekly lessons for Kindergarten – 5th grade classes

· Effectively lead and recruit leaders for specials events

· Constantly evaluate current security system, in order to make sure it provides the most security to our kids and user friendliness to our parents

· Edit Curriculum and do all supply preparation and distribution for each series

· Provide support for our other locations and their Elementary programs

· Handle all administrative responsibilities of the Elementary Kids Ministry such as but not limited to all record sheets from small groups, reporting attendance from all Sunday activities, returning phone calls and emails in a timely manner

· Be actively involved with Kids Small Groups on Tuesday and/or Wednesday nights

· Perform any other duties as required by the Senior Staff of Parkway Fellowship
