The elementary school teacher will supervise the learning center for 10 to 13 students of grades levels 2 to 5. Students will be using the Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum, and the teacher is responsible for helping students set weekly academic goals. The teacher is responsible for grading students, assisting with school work, assigning homework when appropriate, and ministering to students through counsel, prayer, and devotions.

Job Description: Elementary Learning Center Teacher

The Learning Center Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of the Learning Center (classroom) and the academic and spiritual development of students using the ACE program. The Supervisor provides instructional guidance, monitors progress, maintains discipline, and fosters a Christ-centered, orderly, and goal-driven environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

Academic

• Administer and score diagnostic testing (PACE placement tests)
• Set and monitor daily goals with students based on their PACE progress
• Supervise students' academic work and provide instruction as needed
• Conduct PACE scoring, testing, and checkups according to ACE procedures
• Track student progress and maintain academic records
• Prepare progress reports and report cards as required
• Identify students needing additional academic help and implement support strategies

Spiritual and Behavioral

• Model and promote Christian values and character
• Pray with and for students, encouraging biblical application in daily life
• Address discipline issues with fairness and consistency
• Reinforce proper classroom behavior, goal setting, and time management

Administrative

• Maintain Learning Center order, routines, and ACE procedures
• Monitor the PACE inventory and request materials when needed
• Maintain student files, goal charts, and supervisor records
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress
• Attend staff meetings, devotions, and training sessions

Qualifications

Required:

• A clear testimony of salvation
• A commitment to Christian education
• Agreement with the school's statement of faith and ACE philosophy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage and motivate students effectively

Preferred:

• Experience in a Christian school or ACE setting
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (varies by school)
• ACE Supervisor or Monitor training certification (or willingness to obtain)

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and move for extended periods
• Able to lift PACE boxes or small classroom supplies
• Strong mental focus, problem-solving, and classroom awareness

Spiritual Expectations

• Regular attendance at a Bible-believing church with an annual letter from their pastor, either the Lead Pastor or an Associate Pastor
• Personal devotional life and Christian witness
• Willingness to lead devotions or prayer as needed
