Heartland Christian Academy (HCA) is hiring for the following position.

This position holds the responsibility of educating and caring for elementary children at various grade levels in a self-contained classroom (i.e., kindergarten through fifth grade). This position requires teaching multiple subjects, appropriate to each grade level, from a Biblical worldview. Teaching an elementary grade includes planning, implementing and assessing lessons.  It also includes the development and management of a positive and healthy classroom environment, which promotes learning as well as the social, physical, and spiritual growth of every student.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The company has a stringent substance abuse policy. We have a zero tolerance to alcohol, nicotine, and drugs.

Job Description

• • Physical Requirements:
    • Extensive standing. Extensive walking. Extensive movement (i.e., bending, squatting, turning, etc.).
    • Normal occupational stress related to working with children and young people.
    • Working extended hours to satisfy job requirements related to teaching.
    • Working indoors primarily; working outdoors during select seasons of the year.
  • Minimal Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field (preferred)
    • Continuing education or annual professional development (required)
    • Previous experience in education (preferred)
    • Class E driver’s license (preferred)
