Position Type: Full-Time (or Part-Time) Reports To: Senior Pastor

Long Island Faith Bible Church (or Faith Bible Church of New Hyde Park) is a Christ-centered, Bible-believing community dedicated to proclaiming the gospel, making disciples, and equipping believers to serve. We are a church that emphasizes worship and fellowship in unity, and we train individuals to become godly leaders through solid biblical teaching.

Our English Ministry exists to empower the English-speaking generation into influential Christian leaders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and preach biblically faithful, gospel-centered sermons on a weekly basis
• Lead weekly youth gatherings with engaging, biblical teaching and relational connection
• Cast and implement a compelling vision for youth discipleship and outreach
• Develop mentoring and small group opportunities for students
• Plan events, retreats, mission trips, and service projects
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and volunteers
• Maintain appropriate communication with youth and families
• Recruit, train, and equip adult leaders to serve in youth ministry
• Collaborate with pastoral staff and church leadership for integration into broader church life
• Stay rooted in prayer and personal study to support regular teaching responsibilities
• As part of the ministerial staff, you will be required to perform other duties as needed or assigned by church leadership
• Regular 1 on 1s with Senior Pastor and attend staff meetings

Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Has a clear testimony of faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior, and models a life transformed by the gospel
• Has been baptized as a believer, in accordance with the biblical pattern, and affirms baptism as an outward expression of inward faith
• Exemplifies Christian character, integrity, humility, and dependence on the Holy Spirit in both personal life and public ministry
• Church membership and active participation required
• Sound understanding of Scripture and ability to teach faithfully and preach expositionally
• Passion and experience in youth ministry (2+ years preferred but not required)
• Theologically aligned with the church's statement of faith (see below*)
• Demonstrated ability to bring people together, create a sense of community, and connect individuals in a church or ministry setting
• Team-oriented, humble, and adaptable
• Music and worship leading ability is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in theology, ministry, or related field (preferred but not required)
