Executive Director – East Nashville

Job Overview

Job Summary:

The East Nashville Executive Director (XD) works closely with the East Nashville Pastor to advance the mission of Midtown East by developing and deploying systems and strategies and measuring their impact, while ensuring adequate funding and alignment of human resources. This person will also execute the Sunday service for the East Nashville congregation.

The East Nashville XD is a member of the Movement-wide XD Co-op, which provides opportunities to enhance performance through formal training and sharing best practices.

Job Description

Functions & Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic planning, programming, and leadership to the ministry of Midtown East
  • Manage key processes and projects, including development, implementation, and assessment of the congregational annual plan
  • Develop, manage, and monitor annual budget while maintaining physical resources
  • Maintain ongoing partnership with and responsibility for Sunday morning facility
  • Build, develop and lead a team of volunteers (including recruitment, training and scheduling) to carry out Sunday morning service, including Kidtown
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for emergency situations
  • Plan and execute congregational events
  • Coordinate communication across platforms
  • Provide operational support and insight to Midtown East Diaconate Team
  • Run regularly scheduled team meetings
  • Oversee appropriate staff functions and weekly work of congregational staff

Education, Skills, and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:
  • At least two years experience working in administrative leadership
  • Committed Christian faith. Belief and lifestyle is consistent with the doctrine of the PCA.
  • Strong gifting in leadership and administration
