Facilities and Maintenance Staff

Job Overview

The Facilities and Maintenance Staff assists with the upkeep of the PVCP property, including grounds, general maintenance, and event setup. Other responsibilities include escorting vendors and contractors, managing vehicle maintenance, and problem resolution on campus.

Job Description

Duties

  • Maintain an inviting campus through regular landscaping, including but not limited to mowing the grass, trimming bushes and trees, ensuring proper irrigation of vegetation, ensuring weed abatement
  • Ensure the PVCP campus remains a safe environment for students and visitors
  • Walk campus every morning and as needed to ensure campus is free of debris
  • Clean up spills on sidewalks and in classrooms as needed
  • Setup and teardown for campus events
  • Assist in moving furniture and other large objects
  • Lock and unlock campus
  • Key distribution and alarm code assignments
  • Proactively survey campus on a daily basis looking for potential maintenance needs

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor conditions throughout the year
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, sometimes in excess of 100 pounds with assistance as needed
  • Ability to work hours that may fall outside a typical 9-5 arrangement
  • Capability to do campus repairs (plumbing, drywall, minor electrical, painting, etc.)
  • Must be a self-starter, team player, and willing to take direction
  • Must possess Christ-like interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to staff, faculty, students, and families
  • Must be adept at conflict resolution in accordance with biblical standards
  • Must have an active Christian faith
  • Must affirm agreement with and adherence to PVCP's Statement of Faith and Lifestyle Standards
