Our facilities play a vital role in creating a welcoming and excellent environment for worship, ministry, and community events. We are an extremely active church and are seeking an experienced, detail-driven Facilities Maintenance team member to ensure our buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and ready for ministry each week.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning and upkeep of all church premises (indoor and outdoor).
  • Set up and prepare spaces for church services, meetings, and events.
  • Order and maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks and report repair needs.
  • Ensure restrooms, classrooms, offices, and common areas are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in storage areas and facility closets.
  • Assist with moving and carrying heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, paying attention to detail in both appearance and odor control.

Qualifications

  • Must have proven experience in commercial building cleaning and maintenance.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs., bending, reaching, and safely climbing ladders or stairs as needed for cleaning, maintenance, and event setup.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage supplies and inventory.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
