Title: Youth and Young Adults Discipleship Pastor Purpose: To lead and shepherd the youth and young adult ministries, guiding them in their spiritual growth, and equipping them to become committed disciples of Jesus Christ.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:  Discipleship and Teaching: o Develop and implement a comprehensive discipleship strategy for youth and young adults. o Teach and mentor youth and young adults in the Scriptures, guiding them in their walk with Christ. o Organize and lead Bible studies, small groups, and other discipleship programs.  Leadership Development: o Recruit, train, and mentor volunteer leaders to assist in the ministry. o Equip young people to take on leadership roles within the church.  Event Planning and Execution: o Plan and oversee events, retreats, and mission trips that promote spiritual growth and community. o Coordinate outreach activities to engage with the local community and reach unchurched youth and young adults.

 Pastoral Care: o Provide pastoral care, counseling, and support to youth, young adults, and their families. o Be available to meet with students and parents as needed.  Collaboration: o Work closely with other church staff and ministry leaders to align youth and young adult ministry with the overall mission and vision of the church. o Participate in staff meetings, church events, and contribute to the broader life of the church. Qualifications:  A mature and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.  Passion for youth and young adult ministry, with experience in teaching, mentoring, and leadership.  Strong communication, organizational, and relational skills.  Ability to connect with and relate to young people, understanding their unique challenges and needs.  A degree in theology, ministry, or a related field is preferred, but not required. Educational assistance is available for the right candidate.

The candidate will be expected to agree with the VCF Statement of Faith.

Accountability: The Youth and Young Adults Discipleship Pastor reports to the Senior Pastor and works in collaboration with the church leadership team.
