Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $30,000 per year

The chief responsibility of this role is to lead, oversee, and promote the spiritual formation of the young people within the church. Additionally, this ministry seeks to expand to the community at large and be a light for Jesus as He calls us. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Connect on an individual level with students of all ages
• Develop a culture of learning and discipleship that is safe, engaging, welcoming, and enjoyable
• Teach and lead weekly bible studies and/or small groups with elementary, middle school, and high school students
• Find creative ways to reach youth and children who do not currently attend the church
• Oversee and lead annual programs such as Vacation Bible School, Christmas programs, Easter programs, and other special programs as needed
• Develop a team of volunteers and delegate responsibilities appropriately; utilizing the gifts of the team
• Coordinate curriculum and learning supplies for volunteers

Other Duties

• Attend meetings as-needed for staff, Board of Christian Education, and Deacons
• Manage the annual budget for children and youth
• This position may require other responsibilities not listed but applicable to the role

Qualifications

• Commitment of faith to Jesus Christ as demonstrated through testimony and life witness
• Outgoing personality with a passion for ministering to young people
• Strong leadership skills
• Degree preferred
• Experience working with children and students in a ministry context
• Creativity in problem solving
• Fluency in technology and communication tools
