Position Overview:
We are seeking an inspiring and relational leader to serve as the Family Pastor. This role is instrumental in building a thriving, Christ-centered community where families and individuals are empowered to grow in their faith and fulfill their calling as disciples of Jesus Christ. With a strong commitment to collaboration, this leader will bring a passion for developing teams and partnering with families to nurture and support individuals at every stage of life, helping them grow as followers of Christ.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, pastoral care, and oversight for a range of ministries, including premarital counseling, marriage enrichment, parenting support, ministry pastoral prayer line, young adults, singles, disability/special needs, grandparents, end-of-life planning, weddings, funerals, empty-nesters, retirement, baptism, infant baptism, infant dedication, and child-safety.
- Serve as the leader and visionary for family ministries, ensuring alignment with the mission and vision of Church of the Saviour.
- Recruit, develop, and oversee a diverse and committed team of volunteers, equipping them to effectively lead and support the discipleship process.
- Collaborate closely with complementary ministries within the church to develop a cohesive and integrated plan that equips and disciples families. Provide resources, training, and opportunities to foster connection and growth.
- Manage the family ministry budget and resources, ensuring they are utilized efficiently to meet ministry goals and priorities.
Qualifications:
- A deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Gifted in developing and empowering leaders.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in ministry (3-5 years preferred).
- A Master of Divinity degree or an equivalent in a related field (e.g., theology, counseling, etc.).
- Exceptional interpersonal skills paired with high emotional intelligence.
- The ability to design and implement ministry systems.
- Strong skills in leadership, organization, and volunteer team development.
- A genuine passion for discipling families and fostering intergenerational ministry connections.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging and inspiring individuals across all age groups.
- Gifted in teaching and willing to preach as needed.
- Ordained or eligible for ordination.
