Position Overview: Yellow Leaf is seeking a passionate and dedicated Family and Worship Pastor to lead in our worship and family ministries. This individual will have the unique opportunity to lead both the student and worship ministries of the church, fostering spiritual growth through teaching, worship, and discipleship. The Family and Worship Pastor will work closely with the Lead Pastor and other volunteers to create an atmosphere of worship and spiritual formation for all ages. Key Responsibilities Family Ministry: Lead and oversee all aspects of the church's family ministry, primarily as student pastor while providing assistance to children's ministry volunteers. Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promotes a deep understanding of Scripture and spiritual formation. Recruit, train, and equip volunteers and leaders for family ministries. Organize and lead educational events, workshops, and Bible studiesCollaborate with other ministry leaders to Create a cohesive and effective discipleship strategy across student groups. Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of educational programs and adjust as needed Worship Ministry: Lead and coordinate all worship services, ensuring a vibrant and biblically- centered worship experience. Develop worship sets that align with the church's vision and sermon themes. Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of worship team members (musicians, vocalists, tech team). Lead by example in creating an environment of worship that fosters connection with God and the church family. Provide pastoral care and support for worship team members, encouraging spiritual growth and personal accountability. Ensure all worship events, including special services (e.g., holidays, baptisms, weddings), are well-planned and executed. General Pastoral Duties: Provide pastoral care as needed to individuals and families within the congregation. Assist in the planning and leading of church-wide events, including outreach initiatives and fellowship gatherings. Attend staff meetings, collaborate with church leadership, and contribute to church-wide goals and strategies. Help maintain and promote a healthy, unified, and loving church community. Qualifications: A clear and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, with a passion for worship and spiritual education. Experience in church ministry, with a focus on family ministry and worship. A degree in Biblical Studies, Christian Ministry, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience in leading worship, including proficiency in musical leadership (instrumental and vocal). Strong teaching and communication skills, with experience leading Bible studies or student groups. Experience recruiting, training, and mentoring volunteers and leaders. A heart for discipleship and a vision for helping people grow in their faith. Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to balance multiple ministry responsibilities. Collaborative spirit with the ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, and congregants. Must pass a background check and adhere to church policies and statement of faith.
