The ideal candidate for the Family Pastor position will have a deep love for God and a passion for family ministry. They must be committed to guiding students in their growth in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. The Family Pastor should model servant leadership and be able to effectively lead ministry staff, volunteers, and students toward a Christ-centered life. Additionally, the candidate should be equipped to share the gospel confidently and graciously with individuals of all ages and stages of life

Job Description

Ministry Responsibilities:

• Lead, plan, and execute all middle school and high school ministry meetings.
• Provide oversight, guidance, and support to the Children's Ministry Team Leader and other children's ministry volunteers.
• Work 32 hours per week (subject to change depending on ministry needs).
• Develop effective Family ministries.
• Recruit, train, and mobilize a leadership team of adult volunteers for youth ministry.
• Create and implement strategies for discipleship, equipping students and families to grow in their faith and leadership roles.
• Prepare and teach Bible lessons for middle and high school students.
• Communicate all family ministry activities with the media team, church office, and any other appropriate means.
• Regularly communicate with parents about student ministry events and updates.
• Plan and execute camps, retreats, and special events for students.
• Provide pastoral care, including praying with students, parents, and church members during times of crisis or difficulty.
• Work cooperatively with church staff to support the overall mission and vision of the church.
• Foster personal spiritual growth and accountability, including maintaining a balanced home and family life.
• Actively engage in evangelism within the church and the surrounding community.
• Faithfully contribute to the church through tithes and offerings.
• Attend monthly staff meetings to collaborate on church-wide initiatives and projects.
• Participate in weekly worship services and church events.

• Lead Pastor and Elder Team

Direct Oversight:

• Children's Ministry Leader
• Middle and High School Youth Volunteers

Compensation Package:

• Full-time position (32 hours per week)
• Salary, negotiable based on experience and education
• Vacation, holidays, and sick leave

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Key Qualifications:

• Ordained minister (or willing to be ordained) with education and experience in ministry or a related field.
• Proven leadership experience in youth ministry, particularly with middle and high school students.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• A passion for youth and family discipleship.
• Ability to build, train, and lead a team of volunteers.
• Committed to personal growth through Bible study, prayer, and shepherding.
• Pastoral care skills, with the ability to minister to students and families in the various circumstances of life.
