Job Overview

First Baptist Church is a small, rural, community-minded church in Bartlett, Texas, about 30 minutes from both Georgetown and the Temple/Belton area. Our Sunday services typically range from 50 to 75 attendees, with about 50 of those being active members. Our church prioritizes discipleship and fellowship, and while our current programs focus mostly on children and youth, we are excited to grow in other areas as well. Our mission is to equip the saints for the work of ministry and build up the body of Christ. We are seeking a nurturing and dedicated full-time pastor to lead our congregation.

Job Description

• Lead worship services and deliver sermons that convey deep spiritual truths with a gentle spirit.
• Live in the church's parsonage as part of the compensation package.
• Oversee all day-to-day church operations and employees.
• Provide counseling and support to individuals and families.
• Be proactive in initiating and developing church programs and activities alongside church members.
• Establish relationships with leaders of other churches in the community and encourage inter-church activities.
• Regularly visit and/or check in with members (both active and inactive) and visitors.
