Job Overview
First Baptist Church of Hatfield, Arkansas, is prayerfully seeking a full-time Pastor to lead our warm, family-oriented congregation with sound biblical expository preaching and a shepherd's heart for God's people. Embracing our motto, "A Home. A Family.", we are a loving church deeply committed to knowing and glorifying God, growing in godliness, serving our community, and making Him known.
As a smaller yet well-established church with a rich legacy of faithfulness, we are preparing to celebrate our 125th anniversary in January 2026. Our hope is to continue building upon that foundation with a pastor who will lead us faithfully in the Word, prayer, worship, and gospel-centered ministry.

Pastor – First Baptist Church of Hatfield, Arkansas
Role Summary:
First Baptist Church of Hatfield is prayerfully seeking an ordained Pastor to lead our congregation with sound expository preaching, faithful shepherding, and a passion for proclaiming the whole counsel of God.
Key Responsibilities:

Preach and teach the Word of God with clarity, conviction, and consistency, emphasizing the full counsel of Scripture.

Lead Sunday morning worship through expositional preaching.

Oversee and participate in Bible teaching and prayer gatherings on Sunday and Wednesday evenings.

Provide pastoral care and visitation to the sick, widows, shut-ins in need within the congregation.

Shepherd the congregation with a heart for discipleship, spiritual growth, and mission-minded outreach.

Train and equip leaders within the church, especially young men, to serve and disciple others.

Maintain a vibrant personal walk with the Lord through prayer, study, and holy living.
Qualifications:

Ordained and meets the biblical qualifications of an elder/pastor (1 Timothy 3:1–7; Titus 1:5–9).

Demonstrates godly character, humility, and a shepherd's heart.

Passionate about preaching the gospel and teaching the Word.

Committed to a high view of Scripture, the sovereignty of God, and the sufficiency of Christ.

5–10 years of pastoral ministry experience (preferred).

Seminary education (preferred, but not required if experience and gifting are evident).
Compensation:

A 3-bedroom, 2-bath parsonage is provided.
