First Baptist Church of Pinckneyville, IL is prayerfully searching for a dedicated pastor to shepherd our congregation, foster spiritual growth, and lead us to the next generation of members for our church.

We seek a Southern Baptist Pastor who:

-Holds a strong commitment to the Word of God and adheres to the Baptist Faith and Message (2000)

-Is passionate about preaching, teaching and leading us in spiritual growth

-Encourages outreach, evangelism and community engagement

-Demonstrates administrative leadership, communication and interpersonal skills

-Values the importance of building relationships within and outside the church

Responsibilities:

-Prepare and deliver biblically-based sermons to inspire and challenge our congregation

-Lead Bible studies, prayer groups, and other church events to promote spiritual growth

-Lead the church in evangelism, discipling, fellowship and worship

-Provide pastoral care and counseling to church and community members

-Work with Deacons and church leadership to enhance our ministry and outreach efforts

Qualifications-

-Education – seminary training preferred -Proven track record of preaching and teaching

-Previous pastoral experience is desirable -A vision and heart for missions and outreach

Note: Salary will be commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
