As a member of the Central Association, Kentucky Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention we adhere to the doctrinal statement of the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. The Pastor is the spiritual leader of the church, responsible to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Interested candidates should meet the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. A successful candidate should be licensed to preach in KY and be an ordained Southern Baptist minister. TBC is a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ, committed to sharing the gospel and good news of salvation to the lost. Baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances of the church. We do not adhere to Calvinist doctrine.

Some important responsibilities of the Pastor:

Preach the wordPlan and conduct Sunday morning and evening worship services; Wednesday evening prayer meeting/Bible study; prepare and deliver sermons; lead in observance of ordinancesHave strong communication skills for leading the church in witnessing to and having a caring ministry to the church and communityRegularly visit members and prospective members (including hospitalization, homebound, nursing homes, assisted living, etc.)
