Job Description

The Girls’ Middle School Youth Assistant will be responsible for helping lead and disciple Middle School students in their Faith. This will be a person with a heart for students and a passion for ministry. This is a salaried part-time position that demands 25-30 hours a week. You may be required to occasionally work weekends.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop a relationship with Middle School girls both within the church and the community.
• Organize fun and exciting events that foster community within the youth group.
• Create ways to build relationships and reach unbelieving students in the community.
• Assist in the development and implementation of all programs for the Middle School youth group.
• Attend youth staff meetings.
• Meet with Middle School Director regularly to plan, discuss, and recap Middle School ministry activities.
• Help plan and lead mission trips (foreign and domestic) and church retreats.
• Occasionally Teach Sunday School lessons
• Lead small groups.
• Disciple students individually.
• Recruit and work alongside volunteers and parents.

JOB Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree. (Ministry related field preferred, but not required)
• Prior experience in youth ministry is valuable but not necessary.
• Experience as a worship leader is valuable but not necessary.
• A firm foundation and adherence to reformed theology.
• Agreement, support, and alignment with the Church’s Statement of Faith, Constitution, By-Laws, Policies, and procedures.
• Able to demonstrate abilities and giftedness to meet and perform Job Description scope of work.
• Organized, pro-active, self-starter.
• Creative, collaborative, enthusiastic spirit.
